Short description:
In the morning we depart following the DN1 (National Road No. 1) to the mountain region to arrive to Sinaia City – knows as the “Carpathian Pearl”. Here we visit the Peles Castle which is the symbol of the town and which is situated in a wonderful landscape. Peles Castle - the former summer residence of the Romanian kings – is a spectacular castle build in the end of the 19th century and it is one best museums. It hosts inestimable collections of arms, silk hand-made carpets and pieces of furniture. The Peles Castle is an architectural jewellery which is a must to see in every touristy program. Not far away from Sinaia, driving thorough a spectacular landscape we arrive at Bran Castle – known as Dracula’s Castle. The visit ends with a traditional dinner in a restaurant with a panoramic view of the Dracula’s Castle.
Peles Castle: By form and function, Peles Castle, is truly a palace. Its architectural style is a Neo-Renaissance of romantic inspiration that can find a correspondent in 19th century ideals with the monumental Gothic Revival of Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria, ironically called a castle as well. A Saxon influence can be observed in the interior courtyard facades that have rich and ornated fachwerk similar to northern Europe alpine architecture and allegorical hand painted murals. Interior decoration is mostly a Baroque influence with heavy carved woods and exquisite fabrics. Peles Castle has 3200 sq. meters of floor plan, over 170 rooms, 30 bathrooms, many with dedicated themes from world cultures, themes that can vary by function (offices, libraries, armouries, art galleries) or by style (Florentine, Turkish, Moorish, French, Imperial) all extremely lavishly furnished and decorated to the slightest detail. The establishment hosts one of the finest collections of art in East and Central Europe, consisting of statues, paintings, furniture, arms and armour, gold, silver, stained glass, ivory, fine china, tapestries and rugs; the collection of arms and armour has over 4000 pieces, divided between Eastern and Western war, ceremonial or hunting spreading over four centuries in history. Oriental rugs come from the finest sources: Bukhara, Mosul, Isparta, Saruk and Smirna, porcelain from Sevres and Meissen, leather from Cordoba, hand painted stained glass, mostly Swiss. Inaugurated in 1883, Peles Castle is not only a pleasant place during summer time; it has been conceived to be also a national monument, meant to keep the trophies of the Plevna victory, which explains the simple but majestic style.
Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle): The Bran fortress was built on a cliff between Magura and The Hill of the Fortress, its position conferring an outstanding view towards both the hills of Moeciu and the ones from the Land of Barsa. The building of the fortress was imposed by strategic and economic reasons. The strategic reasons underlined by the expansion of the Ottoman Empire which, by the end of the XIV century, began threatening the south-eastern borders of Transylvania; the economic reasons, given by the fact that the commercial road, one of the most important access ways connecting Transylvania to Wallachia, crossed this area. All these reasons determined the Hungarian king Louis I of Anjou to develop strengthening works of the Bran pass.
Dracula and the village of Bran: Bran Castle - better known as Dracula's Castle - is one of the most valuable architectural monuments that also had precise military and economic functions - which are extensively presented by the scholar Ioan Prahoveanu in his work, The Bran Castle. The link made by the vampire-seeking tourist between this castle and King Vlad the Impaler owes a lot to the fact that the Castle of Bran was situated on the Bran Pass, which separated Saxon of Transylvania traders from the Wallachian trade fairs where they could sell their goods. Stories of cruel punishments applied to smugglers abound hence the relationship with the Castle of Bran officials may have been a little strained at times. Whether Vlad the Impaler really ruled over the Castle of Bran is a moot point for there exist no written evidence to support this claim. Apart from administrative documents there is really very little in terms of the political and military events of the time. One thing is certain, though. In the autumn of 1462, the King of Hungary, Matei Corvin's army captures Vlad close to the Oratii Citadel, near Rucar - which is situated at about 25 kilometres from Bran - and imprisons him in the Bran Castle for almost two months. From here he will be moved to the Visegrad Citadel. The belief in ghosts and other evil spirits is an essential component of popular mythology. Beyond this imaginary universe populated with vampires and ghosts, tourists will find the peace and tranquillity of the peasant village of Bran.

Short description:
The best way to fully appreciate Bucharest is to spend a half day of in-depth exploring. We stroll on the major boulevards, starting with the huge Civic Center, where we make a stop for a visit of the impressive Parliament Palace, up the Arch of Triumph. Here we pay a visit to the open air Village Museum, were we can admire village architecture and crafts from all over Romania. After these visits we are going to have dinner that will be served in a traditional Romanian restaurant in a pleasant atmosphere. Here you will end your tour and we expect that you succeeded to build an image of Bucharest, the Romanian capital.
The Civic Centre:  is a portion of Bucharest, which was completely rebuilt as part of the scheme of systematization under the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Bucharest Civic Centre includes numerous government offices and apartments, the latter being roughly equal in number to the housing units destroyed for its construction. The apartments were originally intended to house Romania's communist elite, but the completed complex is a rather bland and unappealing neighborhood, certainly not a preferred residence for the city's new capitalist elite, with the possible exception of buildings that look out on the now-bustling Unirea Square, where the Civic Centre bisects the Dambovita River, which is channeled underground past the Square.
The Parliament Palace:  Beginning in 1972, Ceausescu instituted a program of systematization. Promoted as a way to build a "multilaterally developed socialist society," the program of demolition, resettlement, and construction began in the countryside, but culminated with an attempt to completely remodel the country's capital. Over one fifth of central Bucharest, including churches and historic buildings, was demolished during Ceausescu's rule in the 1980s, to rebuild the city in a socialist style. Many people died during the erection of The People's House ("Casa Poporului") in Bucharest, now the Parliament House, the world's second largest building after The Pentagon.
University square: University Square is the place in central Bucharest where students were shot dead during Romania's 1989 anti-communist revolution.
Victory Road: Calea Victoriei (Avenue of Victory), on the site of the wood-paved Podul Mogosoaiei, has been Bucharest's most fashionable street since boyars first built their residences along it.
The Village Museum Bucharest: The Village Museum, lying in a specific Romanian setting, on the Herastrau lakeshore in Bucharest, is one of the biggest and the oldest outdoors museum in Europe.
Bucharest Tour is the best way to take a quick look to the capital of Romania, a town that is five centuries old.
